Everything that God does in our lives is the result of our communication with Him. So it is no surprise that in order to establish a relationship with Him, and enter into His kingdom and the body of Christ, a covenant is required. The covenant between Him and you promises that he will forgive all your sins when you repent, and that He will never leave you. His Holy Spirit will come upon you and lead you into righteousness, transforming your soul to become like Him. From this point on, God (who is alive and well) will talk to you as you talk with Him. He’ll also clean you up and make you the best person you were meant to be (without all the addictions, etc.). We were all born in sin, but you can be born-again (redeemed), when you say this prayer:
“Dear Lord God, I know I am a sinner, and I ask for Your Forgiveness. I believe You sent Your Son, Jesus Christ, who died for my sins and He rose from the dead. I trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior. Guide my life and help me to do Your Will. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
